Electromagnetic Compatibility
Testing
PMC has a fully-equipped laboratory to
perform Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) tests on our products, for
pre-compliance testing to the following Directives and Standards:
- EMC Directive 89/336/EEC, plus
amendments 92/31/EEC and 93/68/EEC
- CISPR 16-1 (1999-10) Radio
disturbance and immunity measuring apparatus
- IEC/EN 60945:1997 Maritime systems,
methods of testing and required test results, including Conducted Emissions
Tests, Radiated Emissions Tests, Immunity to Conducted Low-Frequency (Audio)
Interference Tests, plus tests to the following IEC/EN Standards:
- EMC testing and measurement
techniques
- Immunity to Electro-Static
Discharge (ESD)
- Immunity to Radiated
Radio-Frequency (RF) fields
- Immunity to Electrical Fast
Transients (Bursts)
- Immunity to Electrical Surges
- Immunity to Conducted
Radio-Frequency (RF) voltage
After passing the pre-compliance tests,
PMC products are sent to an accredited test laboratory for full compliance
testing in order to obtain the following approvals/certifications:

- Germanischer Lloyd
