The PMC Commitment

In 1969 Prime Mover Controls Inc. (PMC) started as a small governor service shop, servicing virtually all types of Woodward governors.  Over the years PMC has kept up with new developments in governor technology.  Today, more than ever, the technology is changing, presenting the industry with new sophisticated governor systems .  The industry now demands that these new, advanced governor systems be engineered, installed and serviced by factory trained technicians.

PMC has maintained a dedicated, trained and experienced staff of service technicians, an extensive parts inventory, as well as up to date test equipment.  All Woodward governors are serviced with Woodward parts and tested to Woodward specifications.

PMC has grown to fill the needs of our customers.  In 1973 we began the design and manufacture of remote control components, instrumentation and systems for marine and industrial applications.  The system approach has enhanced the ability of PMC to install and service Woodward governors in a wide range of applications.  Utilizing our own engineering staff and machine shop facilities, PMC is capable of providing top quality custom installations.

In 1992 the Woodward Governor Company recognized PMC's commitment to quality by awarding us the status of an Authorized Independent Service Facility (AISF).  As an AISF we are part of a global network of authorized shops providing sales and service of Woodward products.

We have the best available governor test equipment, ready to calibrate your Woodward governors to factory specifications.  Our equipment includes three hydraulic governor test stands, and test equipment capable of testing Woodward electronic governors.   PMC also has the capability of calibrating natural gas fuel valves used in gas turbine applications.

In order to provide our customers with top quality service, with minimum turn around time, PMC maintains a large stock of Woodward factory original spare parts and complete controls.  Our customers can also take advantage of our exchange governor stock, to further reduce downtime.

Customer training in the operation of governor control systems has always been a service provided by PMC.  Our customers may take advantage of our shop facilities, for hands-on training, or arrange to have one of our technicians visit their location.
