These Huon Class Coastal Minehunters for the Royal Australian Navy are fitted with PMC navigation light control systems housed in custom manufactured aluminum enclosures. The navigation light control system was designed to be light weight and have a low magnetic signature. The system incorporates three Type 8010 navigation light control panels, a hardwired navigation light mimic and cable-type isolators for shock and vibration protection.

The system was also designed to include such features as Mine Clearance Light dimming, a reduced light mode for the Navigation Lights, tappers for the Masthead Signaling Lights, as well as controls for various hand search lights, signal lights and signal projectors.

The system was constructed to meet the requirements of:

MIL-S-901 D Grade A (Navy) shock testing
MIL-STD-167-1 (Ships) vibration testing
MIL-STD-461 C & MIL-STD-462 EMI testing
MIL-STD-810 C climatic testing
